Psychotherapy and Counselling in Ealing, West London

Both counselling and psychotherapy involve talking with a professional about issues that are important to you. The therapist will offer support and a place and time every week for you to think things through.

Counselling helps you draw on your own resources, supporting and enabling you to make the decisions - and the changes - you want to make in your life. It can take as few as 6 sessions, last for several months, or perhaps up to a year.

Psychotherapy is useful when you know "something is wrong", but it seems very complicated, or you're not exactly sure what it is. It can often be an experience or a feeling that has been with you for a long time and now is getting in the way of you enjoying life as you'd like to. Psychotherapy usually involves a longer-term commitment.

Sometimes counselling becomes psychotherapy - or psychotherapy may become counselling - as things change for you.
