Psychotherapy and Counselling in Ealing, West London
Sometimes friends and family aren't enough - or you feel guilty about burdening them with your worries. Perhaps you could benefit from a place to explore your thoughts and feelings with a professional who cares - but isn't otherwise involved in your life?
My name is Heather Sime and I have been practising counselling and psychotherapy in West London for more than 15 years. I provide therapy and counselling from peaceful and confidential rooms in Hanwell Ealing (W7). I qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist in 2004 at the Metanoia Institute in Ealing. I use a range of therapeutic approaches which include relational, humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic styles. I also have an interest in mindfulness practices.
I work in co-operation with you to find out what you want to understand or change in your life and help you to talk about what gets in the way of you doing so. We may use a number of different ways to work together depending on what suits you best.
I work as a Clinical Supervisor and, as part of my Practice, offer supervision and consultancy to other counsellors and therapists in Acton, Ealing and West London. I am a Primary Supervisor for the MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia.
I also supervise counsellors at the Ealing Abbey Counselling Service in Ealing, a low-cost service for the local community. Just Click here to visit EACS. I have been involved with the Service since 1999 and continue to support its work.
As a counsellor in the Ealing and Acton area, I am particularly experienced and interested in helping clients with :

Deciding to come to counselling or therapy is an important decision for everyone. I try to ensure that your first experience of meeting me is as relaxed and friendly as possible. While you may be talking about some difficult experiences and feelings it is crucial you feel listened to and taken seriously. My intention is to support you talk about what you feel ready to and to encourage you to say what is important for you.
Before we meet there is always the option of emailing me or having a discussion over the phone, if that is easier for you initially. You can ask me the questions that are uppermost in your mind and tell me a bit about what you feel you need.
